Virginia Solitary Watch is a blog project aimed at exposing the rampant use of solitary confinement out from behind the prison walls and into our conscious. This project hopes to provide my fellow MSW classmates—as well as community members, jail and prison advocates, politicians, policymakers, educators, and people in prison and their families—with a centralized location for understanding the effects of this form of abuse on people in prison, the prison systems, our communities, and the political landscape of Virginia. Please explore my expanding blog as I compile relevant scholarly articles, news reports, and interviews.
